Photojournalist and reporter based out of Wilmington, North Carolina. I began my career covering conflicts for the Associated Press, documenting nonprofit work, and writing travel stories in East & West Africa (2009-2013).
After returning to the U.S., I worked as a freelance photographer, marketing manager for a microbrewery, and oilfield roustabout (2014-2017).
As a reporter and staff photographer, I covered Wilmington-area politics, business, hurricanes, and social issues for Port City Daily (2018-2020), then covered statewide politics, economic trends and the COVID-19 pandemic for Carolina Public Press.
